Illustrator Malen Pazos, from Mutriku, has created the new image for the 19th Animadeba festival

Are you ready to dream? Soon, reality will come to a pause and imagination will take full control in Deba. This year's ANIMADEBA, the Deba International Animation Festival, will profoundly transform the town and offer everyone attending a unique opportunity to dream with their eyes wide open.

For a few days, the town's daily rhythm will pause as Deba transforms into an international gathering place. As every year, drawn by the unifying power of animation, professionals from across the industry—directors, producers, sector workers, and students alike—will come together to celebrate alongside local residents in a festive atmosphere.

This year's visual identity sought to represent that special reality. To achieve this, the organization Has opted for the work of the illustrator Malen Pazos (Mutriku, 1997). Graduated in Advertising, this Gipuzkoan artist is known for her colorful digital illustrations, her ability to play with fantastic shapes and proportions, and her unique textures.

Pazos's poster reflects that magical moment when people of all ages, stories, and ideas gather in the exact same place. As the organizers highlight, locals and visitors will stop being mere spectators to become the main characters during these days. After all, everyone will speak the universal language of animation once the lights go down and the magic begins.
