As director, he has signed several outstanding documentaries, including Ella(s) (2010), Milagros (2017) eta \u00c9xodo clim\u00e1tico (2020). <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ella(s)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2010), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Milagros<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2017) eta <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9xodo clim\u00e1tico<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2020. The latter won the Espiga Verde at the Seminci festival in Valladolid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His last job is an animated feature film: Mariposas Negras (2024) <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mariposas Negras<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2024), premiered at the famous Annecy animation festival. This work, which offers a poetic and feminine view of climate migration, has been a success: it received the 2025 Goya Award in the category of Best Animation Film, as well as the Forqu\u00e9, Gaud\u00ed, Platinum and Quirino Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Baute's committed cinema focuses on climate emergency, forced migration, and human rights, always treated with great aesthetic and narrative sensitivity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond creative work, it coordinates numerous cultural projects, such as \u00c1rea Garachico, and the itinerant HipoKritas initiative, Esc\u00e9nicos Cuadernos or Cinem\u00f3bil, a travelling cinema that operates through renewable energies.
