Graduated in Humanities and Business at the University of Mondragon (2004) and specialized in Business and Audiovisual Communication through the Master's Degree in Communication at Deusto (2006). She began her career in the world of TV production and it was in 2010 when she changed direction to the world of animated film. Since then, she has been working as Executive Producer of 3D animated feature films.

Myriam Ballesteros graduated in Journalism and studied film, television and animation at New York University, BBC, EAVE, CARTOON, etc. She founded MB Producciones and IMIRA Entertainment and has worked as Director, Show Runner, Story Editor and Producer directing among others the animated series LUCKY FRED, SANDRA DETECTIVE DE CUENTOS, LOLA & VIRGINA, MEME Y EL SR BOBO etc... which have been sold in more than 100 countries and awarded in Festivals such as CIFF, Cartoon on de Bay, etc. as well as the short films LA SUPERRABIETA, LA LEYENDA DE UN HOMBRE MALO, MI MEJOR AMIGA and CENICIENTA SWING. She is currently working on the animated series ANNIE & CAROLA and CENICIENTA ENMASCARADA and on the animated feature provisionally titled AMALUR PROFEZIA. She has been founder and president of MIA (women in the animation industry).

Miren Aperribay, founder and distributor of Atera Films, has released successful Basque productions such as "Handia" and "Loreak". Atera Films is also committed to titles by new directors. The company is currently distributing Jayro Bustamante's Guatemalan films, "Temblores" and "La Llorona", which have been selected for more than 100 festivals, including Venice, Berlin, San Sebastian and Sundance. The latter, La Llorona, was nominated to represent Guatemala at the GOYA and OSCARS in 2021. A member of the association of women audiovisual professionals "Hemen", she was a member of the Arts and Culture Council of Gipuzkoa until 2019. She is also a founding member and vice-president of the recently created Association of Independent Distributors.
